Historically, Apophyllite is one of the "New Kids on the Block". Having been first discovered in the 19th Century by French Mineralogist Rene Just Hauy; A gentlemen well respected for his research on Crystals and their structure.
Usually, Apophyllite is discovered where there has been some kind of Volcanic activity in the past, and places such as Northern Ireland, Mexico, Canada, Iceland and the United States will have them hiding somewhere.
Sometimes (if you're lucky) you'll find Apophyllite that is embedded in Stilbite; A potent healing stone that aids in spiritual and metaphysical practices.
